The pendants are created using a unique and novel material known as Liquid Crystal. Named because of the unusual alignment of molecules within the substance it is neither a liquid nor a solid, but something in between. Due to this unique crystalline structure the pendants capture light and reflect it differently in every angle and intensity of light, creating stunning and illuminating rainbow effects.

The incandescent colours generated range from pastel blues and pinks to vibrant violets and golds, similar to the effects seen by the natural birthstone Opal. Different compositions give rise to different dominant colours.
